Does cheek filler lift your face?

Cheek filler adds volume or changes contour in a chosen area. In some faces this can create an impression of more support around the midface, but it does not reposition loose skin and is not a surgical face lift. How noticeable the change looks depends on anatomy, the concern, the product and the amount used. A consultation should establish whether adding volume addresses the feature you actually want to change.

Volume and lifting are different goals

A flatter or hollow cheek and significant skin laxity are different concerns. Adding filler can change the former without reliably correcting the latter. More filler does not necessarily mean more lift; excess volume can alter facial proportions. What can a consultation decide?

An eligible practitioner can assess facial structure, previous treatment, goals, product choice and whether an injection is appropriate. Ask what change is realistic, what would remain unchanged, whether a different cosmetic approach is more suitable, and the full cost. No amount, product or placement is right for everyone. Dr Sknn does not imply that every injectable option is available at every clinic or through every practitioner.

Risks and changing results

Swelling, bruising, tenderness, asymmetry or an unwanted contour can occur. Rare but serious complications include vascular injury with possible skin or visual harm. New visual symptoms, severe or increasing pain, or unusual blanching or mottling after an injection need urgent assessment: contact the treating practitioner immediately and seek emergency medical care for visual or other sudden serious symptoms. Results and their duration vary, and future correction or maintenance should be discussed individually rather than promised in advance.
