Due to lifestyle factors and sun damage many people start to suffer from premature ageing which starts from their early thirties. Sun damage can result in lines and wrinkles accompanied with dull, rough skin with enlarged pores, along side mottled skin tone and areas of abnormal pigmentation.
At Dr Sknn we use the Lynton Lumina which is a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System, which is also used by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, with specific hand pieces in order to address premature ageing in skin types I-IV by promoting fibroblast activity and subtly restructure collagen within the skin.
Many people from their early-thirties onwards suffer from premature aging largely due to sun-damage and other lifestyle factors. This sun damage often results in dull, rough skin, with enlarged pores and lines and wrinkles. Mottled skin tone and areas of abnormal pigmentation, along with vascular irregularities such as telangiectasias, are also common.
illumiFacial® is the ‘next generation’ of the highly successful ‘Photofacial’ treatment, using a new and unique combination of specialist Lynton skincare together with powerful, medical-grade Lynton IPL technology.
The ILLUMIFACIAL treatment can address the aspects of premature aging outlined above due to its ability to promote fibroblast activity, subtly restructure collagen within the skin, and to even out areas of uneven and mottled pigmentation and broken thread vessels. In combination with a specially selected formulation of acids, the ILLUMIFACIAL treatment results in a fresher, flawless complexion, softer, smoother skin with a reduction in open pores and leaving a healthy glow. It is appropriate for people who wish for a more even skin tone and show mild to moderate signs of sun damage and photoaging.
The clinical application includes:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Enlarged pores, dull, rough and uneven skin texture
Photo damage, certain pigmented lesions, dyschromia and sun damage
Vascular irregularities such as telangiectasia’s
Total skin rejuvenation of facial areas with desire for general improvement to skin tone
4 Stage Treatment
01. Cleanser
The first step in achieving clear, healthy, radiant skin involves a deep cleanse. Your illumiFacial® practitioner will use a specialist formulation to remove any impurities.
02. Tri-Fruit Acid Peel
After a deep cleanse, a unique Tri-Fruit Acid Lynton Fruit Peel will be applied to your skin. This can be left on anywhere between 3 to 10 minutes. This peel resurfaces the skin texture and decongests pores, priming the skin ready for stage 3 of illumiFacial®.
03. Lynton IPL
Once the fruit peel has been completed, your skin will be at its optimum condition for the application of the award-winning Lynton Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. This treatment stimulates collagen and targets any discoloration on your skin, such as freckles, pigmentation, vascular breakouts, and general redness. In most cases, the results are instant, providing you with dramatically clearer, firmer skin.
04. Hydrate & Protect
To maximize the results of your illumiFacial® treatment, a trio of specialist serums will be applied to your skin post-IPL. These serums help soothe, regenerate, and protect your skin.
