What are Dermal Fillers?
Many temporary dermal fillers are injectable gels containing cross-linked hyaluronic acid. Products differ in formulation, approved purpose, handling and patient information and are not interchangeable. Hyaluronic acid also occurs naturally in the body, but that does not make an injected implant risk-free or suitable for every person. Accidental injection into a blood vessel can reduce blood supply and cause tissue damage; visual disturbance, blindness and stroke have also been reported. Increasing or unusual pain, pale or mottled colour, cool skin, a new visual symptom or a possible stroke symptom during or after injection needs immediate assessment.
How Long Do Lip Fillers Last?
Duration varies with the exact product, amount, site, technique and individual response. Early swelling can affect the apparent result, and later change or migration may occur. A fixed duration should not be promised without product- and site-specific evidence.

Suitability depends on the exact product, site and person.
