Exosomes and Hair Loss: Evidence, Limits and Cosmetic Scope
Hair-loss concerns need the right pathway
Hair thinning and shedding can have different causes. Dr Sknn’s cosmetic hair or scalp consultation does not replace an appropriate assessment of sudden, patchy, painful, inflamed or scar-like hair loss, or hair loss accompanied by other unexplained symptoms.
What the evidence can support
Published human studies are small and varied in the products, preparation, route, treatment schedule and outcomes used. They do not establish that every product described as an exosome or extracellular-vesicle product is equivalent or that results are predictable.
Product and route matter
Evidence for a topical cosmetic cannot automatically support an injected or needled product. The exact manufacturer, composition, route, sterility controls, intended use and regulatory status must be established before any treatment decision.
Cosmetic consultation boundary
A consultation may discuss appearance goals, uncertainty, alternatives, material risks and whether an appropriate service is currently available. No article can guarantee regrowth or substitute for establishing whether a separate health assessment is needed.
Scope of this article
Dr Sknn is an independent private aesthetics and cosmetics clinic. This page is limited to cosmetic concerns and treatment considerations. Suitability, risks, recovery and current availability are confirmed during an individual consultation. New, changing or unexplained symptoms should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional before cosmetic treatment.
