The aim is to understand the question before choosing a treatment; a consultation does not commit you to a procedure.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. Doctor, Nurse and Qualified Practitioner consultations are free. A Doctor booking requires a separate £50 reservation payment; that is a reservation fee, not a charge for the consultation itself. Nurse and Qualified Practitioner consultations are free. Review the current reservation, cancellation and rescheduling conditions shown in the Dr Sknn booking app before you book or pay.

If a treatment is later suitable, its price, possible course or follow-up costs and any non-optional charges should be explained before you decide. The cost of a procedure is separate from the free consultation, and a consultation does not guarantee a treatment will be offered.

What happens at an aesthetic consultation?

You can describe what you would like to change, what you hope to avoid and whether you prefer skincare, a procedure or simply advice. The clinician or eligible practitioner should consider the specific concern, relevant health information, previous treatments and your expectations. You can ask who would carry out any proposed intervention and where it would take place.

Where relevant, the discussion should cover the realistic benefit, limits, alternatives, possible risks, recovery and whether doing nothing is an option.
