A Doctor cosmetic consultation at Dr Sknn is free. The £50 payment made when reserving a Doctor appointment is a reservation fee, not the price of the consultation. If you prefer a different eligible route, Nurse and Qualified Practitioner consultations are also free. The service and practitioner you can choose depends on the clinic and the current booking rules. Wilmslow is the primary clinic and Didsbury is also active; not every service or clinician is available at both locations.

What is the Doctor appointment for?

It is a chance to discuss a specific cosmetic concern, relevant health information, previous procedures, your expectations and the range of appropriate next steps. The Doctor can explain whether an aesthetic intervention may be suitable and what information would be needed for a decision. A free consultation is not a promise that a procedure will be recommended or provided.

The discussion may include skincare, a cosmetic procedure, waiting, doing nothing or seeking separate healthcare assessment. It should be clear which option is being considered, what improvement is realistic, what it cannot change and what could go wrong. If a procedure is proposed, ask about the exact treatment, practitioner, treatment area, expected recovery, aftercare and total cost before agreeing.

Unexplained symptoms, a changing skin lesion, persistent rash or active infection should not be relabelled as an ordinary cosmetic concern by a booking page. Appropriate healthcare assessment may be needed before any aesthetic procedure is considered.

What happens after the consultation?

You can take time to consider the information. The number of sessions, timing and outcome of any treatment depend on the specific intervention and your suitability; they cannot be guaranteed in advance. You should have an opportunity to ask questions and understand the likely benefits, limits, risks and alternatives before making a voluntary decision.

A treatment price, if relevant, is separate from the free Doctor consultation and the £50 reservation fee. Any non-optional treatment charges and any applicable booking conditions should be clear before you commit. Do not assume the reservation fee is a medical charge, treatment deposit or automatically refundable payment without reading the current booking terms.
