Dr Sknn has two active appointment locations: Wilmslow and Didsbury. Wilmslow is the primary clinic, Didsbury is active and Leigh is closed. This page explains where appointments take place and how to check the exact service before travelling. It does not imply that every treatment is available at both clinics.
The two active locations
Wilmslow: Dr Sknn, 45 Alderley Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 1NZ. Didsbury: Dr Sknn clinic access at Sterling Pharmacy, 103 Lapwing Lane, Didsbury, Manchester, M20 6UR.
Nearby towns are catchment areas, not clinic addresses
People may travel from Alderley Edge, Altrincham, Bowdon, Bramhall, Hale, Hale Barns, Handforth, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Poynton, Prestbury, Stockport or Timperley. Dr Sknn does not claim a clinic in those towns. An appointment shown for one of the two active locations is the authority for where that visit will take place.
Availability is treatment- and practitioner-specific
Some services are available only at one clinic or only with clinicians who hold the applicable role, training or practitioner level. Do not assume that a treatment listed elsewhere is offered at both clinics. Choose the exact service in the Dr Sknn booking app and use the locations, practitioners and times it currently offers. If the required option is absent, contact the clinic rather than booking a different service as a substitute.
Consultations and the £50 reservation
Doctor, Nurse and Qualified Practitioner consultations are free. A separate £50 reservation fee applies to Doctor bookings; it is not a consultation charge. The booking app shows the cancellation and rescheduling conditions that apply to the specific transaction before confirmation.
What an appropriate consultation should cover
A consultation should consider the concern, medical history, medicines, allergies, previous procedures, expectations and the likely benefit, limits, alternatives, material risks, recovery and aftercare of the exact option being discussed. The result may be a different option, referral, delay or no procedure. No outcome can be guaranteed.
Prescription-only options
A prescription-only treatment cannot be selected or promoted as an ordinary cosmetic product. It requires an individual consultation and a prescribing decision by an authorised prescriber where appropriate. Availability shown elsewhere on the site does not guarantee suitability or a prescription.
Choosing a practitioner and planning travel
Check who will perform the procedure, their qualifications and experience for that exact procedure, their insurance, the product or device proposed, total cost, aftercare and who will manage a complication. Confirm the clinic address in the appointment confirmation. Allow time to consider the information and walk away if you are not comfortable.
Scope of this article
Dr Sknn is an independent private aesthetics and cosmetics clinic. This page is limited to cosmetic concerns and treatment considerations. Suitability, risks, recovery and current availability are confirmed during an individual consultation. New, changing or unexplained symptoms should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional before cosmetic treatment.
