Under-Eye Injections: Questions and Risks | Dr Sknn

Under-eye injections: what to clarify first

“Under-eye injections” is a broad search term, not one product or procedure. Someone may be asking about a hollow, shadow, fine line or another concern. These are different questions and an injection is not automatically suitable for any of them. An individual assessment should identify the area and what change is realistic.

Which product and area are being discussed?

Ask the clinician to name the exact proposed product, intended injection site and reason for considering it. Different injectables are not interchangeable, and a treatment used elsewhere on the face may be unsuitable near the eye. A product name or marketing term alone does not establish that Dr Sknn stocks it or that a given practitioner may provide it at Wilmslow or Didsbury. The reviewed tear-trough consultation Page covers one more specific under-eye contour question.

What can a consultation establish?

Discuss the appearance you hope to change, past treatment, relevant health information, realistic limits, recovery, follow-up and alternatives including no procedure. Do not assume that an injection will remove dark circles, puffiness and fine lines together, or that its result will be immediate, natural-looking or free of downtime. The clinician should explain which concerns the proposed product could and could not address before consent.

What risks and warning signs matter?

Bruising, swelling, tenderness, uneven appearance, infection and nodules can occur with filler injections. Unintended injection into a blood vessel can cause serious injury, including visual harm. Ask about the product- and area-specific risks and the clinic's route for urgent help. Seek urgent assessment for severe or increasing pain, pale or dusky skin, or visual symptoms during or after filler. A new or changing health symptom needs appropriate healthcare assessment rather than a cosmetic booking.

How do I check exact availability?

Dr Sknn is an independent private aesthetics and cosmetics clinic. Wilmslow is our primary clinic, Didsbury is active, and Leigh is closed. Doctor, Nurse and Qualified Practitioner consultations are free; a separate £50 reservation fee applies to Doctor bookings. The Dr Sknn booking app shows the exact service, clinic, eligible practitioner and applicable cancellation and rescheduling terms. If the precise option is absent, contact the clinic rather than booking a different service as a substitute.
