When should a red spot be checked first?

What might a cosmetic consultation cover?
After an individual assessment, a clinician can discuss whether a light-based cosmetic option is suitable and actually available. The choice depends on the mark, its location, your skin and history, the specific method and the eligible practitioner. Some marks are better left alone or assessed elsewhere. No treatment choice or session count can be confirmed from this page.
Improvement is possible for some suitable marks, but results vary. Complete or permanent clearance cannot be promised, and a mark may persist or another may appear later. Before agreeing to treatment, ask about the likely benefit, alternatives including no treatment, discomfort, possible redness or colour change, other material risks, aftercare and any need for review.
Which clinic and practitioner can I book?
Wilmslow is Dr Sknn's primary clinic, Didsbury is open and Leigh is closed. Being able to attend a clinic does not mean that every procedure is offered there. The exact service, clinic and eligible practitioner must be checked in the live booking app; please do not substitute a different service if the one discussed is not available.
Doctor, Nurse and Qualified Practitioner consultations are free. A separate £50 reservation fee applies to Doctor bookings. The booking app shows the current payment, cancellation and rescheduling terms before confirmation.
Questions before booking
Is every small red spot a cherry angioma?
No. Similar-looking marks can have different causes. A clinician must decide whether cosmetic care is appropriate; a changing or unexplained spot may need separate healthcare assessment.
Will one session remove a cherry angioma completely?
That cannot be promised. Suitability, response and the number of sessions vary. Your clinician should discuss realistic limits and risks for the exact option being considered.
Is a procedure available in both active clinics?
Not necessarily. Check the exact service and practitioner in the booking app after consultation. Wilmslow and Didsbury are clinic locations, but their procedure lists can differ.
