Frown lines between the eyebrows

Frown lines are creases between the eyebrows. They are sometimes called glabellar lines or “11 lines”. They may show mainly when you make an expression, or remain visible when your face is relaxed. Both patterns vary from person to person.

Why do frown lines become more noticeable?

Facial movement, natural changes in the skin over time and accumulated sun exposure can contribute to visible lines. A photograph cannot establish the cause or the right cosmetic approach for an individual. It is also normal to choose to leave lines untreated.

What can skin care do?

A gentle routine, suitable moisturiser and regular broad-spectrum sun protection can support the skin’s appearance. Moisturiser can temporarily soften the look of some fine lines, but it should not be expected to erase a crease that remains visible at rest. No product or appointment can promise to prevent or remove every frown line.

How are cosmetic options considered?

A Dr Sknn consultation starts with what you have noticed and what, if anything, you would like to change. A clinician can review the area, relevant history, previous procedures and your preferences. If a cosmetic option is suitable and genuinely available, they can explain its expected limits, material risks, recovery, aftercare and total cost. They may recommend no procedure. This page does not select a treatment or guarantee a result.

Consultations and locations

Doctor, Nurse and Qualified Practitioner consultations are free. A separate £50 reservation fee secures a Doctor appointment. Wilmslow is our primary clinic and Didsbury is also active; Leigh is closed. Services vary by clinic and practitioner. The Dr Sknn booking app shows the current appointment, location and eligible practitioner choices.

When should I seek a different assessment?

If you have a new, painful or changing skin symptom, seek an appropriate health assessment rather than assuming it is a cosmetic frown line. Dr Sknn provides private aesthetics consultations; this guide does not diagnose a medical condition.
