What does microdermabrasion mean?
Microdermabrasion uses mechanical exfoliation to work on the outer skin surface. It differs from surgical dermabrasion, which is a deeper resurfacing procedure. The terms should not be used interchangeably.
How does HydraFacial differ?
HydraFacial is a branded hydradermabrasion system using fluid delivery and suction. Its exact steps and compatible solutions depend on the booked service and the practitioner's assessment. A microdermabrasion label does not establish that a treatment uses HydraFacial's Vortex-Fusion system.
What should I ask the provider?
- Which device and treatment will actually be used?
- Which steps and products are included, and which are optional?
- Is the proposed treatment suitable for my skin and recent procedures?
- What are its realistic limits, possible unwanted effects and aftercare?
- Who will carry it out, at which clinic, and what is the full price?
Do not assume that a facial will remove scars, cure a skin condition, strengthen facial muscles or guarantee a particular result. Suitability and the expected benefit need an individual assessment.
