Cosmetic consultation guidance
Rosacea and cosmetic redness
This guide separates medical rosacea care from questions about the cosmetic appearance of facial redness. Dr Sknn is an aesthetics and cosmetics clinic; a cosmetic appointment does not replace diagnosis or ongoing medical care.
Is this route right for me?
- You want to discuss the appearance of persistent facial colour or visible superficial vessels after appropriate assessment.
- You want to understand whether a cosmetic approach is appropriate before choosing a procedure.
- You need realistic guidance on suitability, downtime, risk and aftercare.
- You will confirm the exact service, clinic and eligible practitioner before booking.
How planning works
- Assessment of your concern, treatment history, medication, lifestyle and expectations.
- A suitability discussion may recommend appropriate healthcare assessment, a different approach or no cosmetic procedure.
- If a cosmetic procedure is suitable, review its realistic limits, material risks, recovery and follow-up before deciding.
- Clear booking or contact route if you are unsure which service to choose.
Common questions
Can rosacea be treated at Dr Sknn?
This page does not establish a medical rosacea service or promise a cure. A consultation can discuss whether a cosmetic approach to persistent colour or visible superficial vessels is appropriate. Medical care and cosmetic aims are separate matters.
Is IPL suitable for rosacea redness?
A suitable light-based procedure may aim to change the appearance of particular vessels or persistent colour. It should not be assumed to treat every feature or cause of rosacea. Ask about the exact device, skin suitability, risks and realistic limits.
Can skincare make rosacea worse?
Products can irritate sensitive skin. Bring details of your current routine and any reactions; stronger products or more frequent exfoliation are not automatically suitable. Do not change prescribed treatment on the basis of this page.
How many redness treatments are needed?
No fixed course, clearance or prevention of recurrence is promised. If a cosmetic procedure is suitable, discuss the individual proposal, total price, expected limits and how response will be reviewed.
When should rosacea be medically reviewed?
New, persistent or worsening symptoms need appropriate healthcare advice. Eye pain or a change in vision needs urgent assessment. A cosmetic appointment is not a substitute for that care.
