At Dr Sknn we exploit the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is utilised by the NHS and private hospitals in the UK, to safely and effectively deal with Cherry Spots on skin types I-IV. Through emitting light in particular wavelength ranges, we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, permitting us to treat Cherry Spots of varying sizes and depths, while causing limited damage to the neighbouring skin. After the procedure, the injured vessels are absorbed by the body and there is very little, if any, indication of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we resort to IPL in order to employ light energy; this light is absorbed by the Cherry Spots, which are heated to a point where they contract or collapse, and thus sealed. In the weeks that follow, the damaged vessels are naturally assimilated by the body, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, during the assessment a health summary including a physical test will be executed comprising of photos. During the assessment there will be a chance to converse about any qualms, expectations, results, or questions you may have. Before the treatment any post-treatment instructions and risks associated with the treatment are discussed to guarantee you understand them entirely and a permission form is signed.
