At Dr Sknn we utilise the Lynton Lumina, an ultra-modern Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is also used by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to safely and effectively treat Cherry Spots on skin types I-IV. By emitting light of particular wavelengths, Dr Sknn can target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus allowing for the treatment of Cherry Spots of various sizes and depths, whilst causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Upon completion of the treatment, the damaged vessels are taken up by the body and little, if any, trace of the initial lesion is left behind.

At Dr Sknn, light energy is taken advantage of through IPL. This light is absorbed by the vessels of blood, heating them to the point of spasm and/or collapse. In the aftermath, the impaired vessels are dissolved by the body, so no evidence of the original flaw remains.
