At Dr Skn, a comprehensive consultation is conducted prior to any Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. The consultation includes a medical history review, physical examination, and photographs to assess your skin type and condition. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, or questions you may have regarding the treatment. The potential risks and post-treatment advice will also be discussed, and a consent form will be signed to ensure that you fully understand the procedure. In addition, if it is the first time a particular area is being treated, a small patch test will be carried out to ensure the treatment's suitability. If your skin type is classified as III or higher, a topical serum or product may need to be applied for four weeks before the treatment. Safety and suitability to the treatment are of the highest priority at Dr Skn, and as such, a patch test will be conducted to determine eligibility. After a successful patch test, the treatment will be carried out 48 hours later. Please note that if certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch testing may be extended to two weeks.
