At Dr Skn, we conduct a thorough consultation prior to Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, which includes a medical history, physical examination and photographs. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to raise any concerns, discuss expectations and ask any questions about the treatment. We will also discuss post-treatment advice and risks to ensure you have a complete understanding before signing a consent form. If it's a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. If you have skin type III+, a topical serum or product may be required for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Our top priority is safety and eligibility, and as such, a full consultation and patch test will be conducted to determine suitability for the treatment. Successful patch testing is required before treatment can commence, which typically takes 48 hours. However, if certain medications are found during your medical history, patch testing may be extended up to 2 weeks.
