During this consultation, you'll have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have. Prior to treatment, any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the procedure will be explained to you in detail, and a consent form will be signed. If it's your first time having treatment on a specific area, a small patch test will be conducted to ensure that the treatment is appropriate for you. For those with skin type III and above, a topical serum or product may need to be applied for four weeks before treatment. At Dr Skn, safety and eligibility for treatment are the highest priority, so a full consultation and patch test will always be performed before treatment to ensure suitability. Following successful patch testing, the treatment can be administered 48 hours later. However, if you're taking certain medications, the patch testing period may be extended to two weeks.
