At Dr Sknn, when you come for a consultation for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, the doctor will take your medical history and conduct a physical examination, including photographs. You will have the chance to raise any concerns, expectations or questions you may have, and be fully informed of the post-treatment advice and risks associated with the procedure before you sign a consent form. If it is your first time having this treatment, a small patch test will be carried out to ensure your suitability. For those with a skin type of III or higher, a topical serum or product may be required for 4 weeks before the treatment. Safety and suitability are paramount at Dr Sknn, and therefore each patient will receive a bespoke consultation before treatment, including a patch test if necessary. Successful patch tests will allow the treatment to be carried out after 48 hours, although patch tests may need to be extended up to 2 weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history.
