At Dr Sknn, the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), is used. This is the same system employed in the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK, to treat Neck Redness on skin types I-IV safely and effectively. The light at particular wavelength ranges is used to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin. This allows for the treatment of Neck Redness of various sizes and depths, with minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Following treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little to no evidence of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we use IPL to take advantage of the light energy, which is taken in by the Neck Redness and heats them to a point of contracting or collapsing and sealing. Over the weeks that follow, the affected vessels are consumed naturally by the body, leaving little or no indication of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, a medical history and physical examination, with photographs, will be performed throughout the consultation. Here you will have the opportunity to talk over any worries, expectations, results, or questions you may have. Before the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, the post-treatment advice and any accompanying risks will be communicated to you and a consent form is signed.
