By producing light in specific wavelength ranges, our team at Dr Sknn target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus being able to treat Poikiloderma of varying sizes and depths, with minimal damage to the surrounding skin. The damaged vessels are then absorbed by the body, allowing for little to no trace of the original lesion to remain.

By utilising IPL at Dr Sknn, we are taking advantage of light energy, causing the heat within the Poikiloderma to increase, which leads to their contraction, and eventually their collapse. In time, the impaired vessels will be absorbed by the body, meaning no sign of the original lesion will remain.
