At Dr Skn, we begin our consultation by taking a detailed medical history and conducting a physical examination that includes photographs, in order to determine your suitability for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have. We also provide you with post-treatment advice and discuss any potential risks associated with the treatment, ensuring that you fully understand the procedure before proceeding. In addition, a consent form will be signed and a small patch test will be performed for new areas of treatment to ensure suitability. For patients with skin types of III and above, a topical application of serum may be required for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Safety and eligibility for treatment are of the highest priority at Dr Skn, and we take the time to perform a full consultation and patch test to ensure successful treatment. Please note that patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history.
