When you visit Dr Sknn for a consultation about Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, a comprehensive medical history and physical examination will be conducted, including photographs. This is to ensure that any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have are addressed. You will also be fully informed about any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment, and a consent form will be signed. Additionally, if you are having a new area treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure that the treatment is suitable for you. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for treatment are of utmost importance, which is why a full consultation and patch test are necessary before proceeding with the treatment. If you have skin type III or above, you may need to apply a topical serum or product for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Please note that if certain medications are found in your medical history, the patch test may need to be extended to 2 weeks.
