At Dr Sknn, we begin the process with a consultation where we will take your medical history and conduct a physical examination, including taking photographs. This provides an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns, expectations, questions and results with us. We will discuss any post-treatment advice and the risks associated with Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, ensuring you fully understand them before signing a consent form. For new areas being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. If you have skin type III+, we may recommend a topical application of serum for four weeks prior to treatment. Safety and eligibility for treatment are our top priorities, so we perform a full consultation before treatment and conduct a patch test to ensure you are suitable. If successful, we will deliver the treatment 48 hours after the patch test, though patch testing may be extended to two weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history. For skin type III+, a topical product may be recommended for four weeks prior to treatment.
