CO2 fractional ablative laser is a type of laser treatment that improves the appearance of various skin irregularities like scars, wrinkles, and fine lines. This procedure works by targeting a fraction of the skin surface to promote collagen production, resulting in an improved skin tone and texture. The laser emits micro-columns of energy to the affected area, making it a safe and non-invasive treatment that does not require any downtime. The procedure is effective for all skin types and can be used on any body area, including the face, neck, chest, abdomen, and arms. The results can be seen within weeks and can last for months. At Dr Sknn, we use an advanced Fractional CO2 Laser to stimulate new skin production within the dermis and epidermis. Our specific mid-infrared CO2 laser at 10,600 nm treats a variety of aesthetic concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, dyschromia, pigmented lesions, and sun damage. The laser emission pattern is precise, resulting in a faster healing process and spare tissue in between the laser emissions. The treatment ultimately improves skin hydration, thickness, and complexion, resulting in a glowing, youthful appearance of the skin.

Doctor Led Ablative Laser Resurfacing Romiley - Benefits

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Ablative Laser Resurfacing

At Dr Skn, we conduct a thorough consultation prior to the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. This includes a medical history review, physical examination and photographs to assess your suitability for the procedure. During the consultation, we offer you the opportunity to discuss any concerns or expectations you may have, as well as any questions about the treatment or its potential results. We also discuss the risks associated with the treatment and provide post-treatment advice to ensure you fully understand the procedure before signing a consent form. For new areas being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III+, a topical application of serum may be required for four weeks before treatment. Safety and eligibility for treatment is our top priority, so we perform a full consultation and patch test to ensure you are suitable for the treatment. Following successful patch tests, we can deliver the treatment after 48 hours. However, if certain medications were found during your medical history, the patch testing may be extended to two weeks. Additionally, if you have skin type III+, a topical product application may be necessary for four weeks before treatment.
