CO2 fractional ablative laser is a type of laser treatment used to enhance the appearance of the skin by targeting wrinkles, scars, and other skin irregularities. This laser operates by removing a portion of the skin's surface to stimulate collagen production, thus improving skin tone and texture. The laser beam is split into micro-columns and delivered to the affected area. This treatment is effective in treating wrinkles, age spots, skin discoloration, acne scars, stretch marks, and laxity in the skin, among other skin irregularities. The CO2 fractional ablative laser is a non-invasive procedure that is safe and effective, requiring no downtime. It can be used on any area of the body, including the face, neck, chest, abdomen, and arms. Results are typically noticeable within a few weeks and can last several months. At Dr Sknn, we provide advanced Fractional CO2 Laser treatment for face, neck, décolleté, and body areas using mid-infrared CO2 laser at 10,600 nm. This treatment stimulates new skin production within the dermis and epidermis through ablation and thermal effect, resulting in a faster healing process. It is an effective solution for a variety of aesthetic concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, dyschromia, pigmented lesions, skin surface irregularities

Doctor Led Ablative Laser Resurfacing West Didsbury - Benefits

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Ablative Laser Resurfacing

At Dr Skn, a consultation for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment involves a thorough medical history and physical examination, which includes taking photographs of the treatment area. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have regarding the treatment. The risks associated with the treatment and any post-treatment advice will also be discussed, and a consent form will be signed to ensure you fully understand them. If it is your first time being treated in a particular area, a small patch test will be carried out to check for suitability. For those with skin type III and above, a topical serum or product may need to be applied for four weeks prior to the treatment. Safety and eligibility for the treatment are of the utmost importance at Dr Skn, and a patch test will be carried out to confirm suitability prior to treatment. Following a successful patch test, the treatment will be carried out 48 hours later. Please note that patch testing may be extended to two weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history.
