Here at Dr Sknn, we provide an advanced Fractional CO2 Laser treatment which can make a tremendous difference to the visibility of acne scarring. This treatment works by encouraging the production of fresh skin in the dermis and epidermis through ablation and thermal effects. Our laser is administered with a specific and even pattern, with spaced out pulses to shield the tissue in-between and helping the healing to progress quicker. Our mid-infrared CO2 laser at 10,600nm is particularly successful in treating acne scars, reducing the look of skin surface imperfections and scars. This course of action can also improve skin hydration and thickness, leading to a healthier and more youthful-looking complexion. With our advanced Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, you can look forward to having smoother, more even-toned skin and a restored self-assurance.

Doctor Led Acne Scar Removal - Benefits

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Acne Scar Removal

At Dr Sknn, prior to CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment, a full consultation will take place which will comprise of your medical history, physical examination and taking photographs. This allows you to raise any queries, expectations, anticipated outcomes or concerns you may have. Before the treatment, any risks that could be associated with CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment and post-treatment guidance will be explained in detail and you will be asked to sign a consent form to verify that you understand the process. If the area is being treated for the first time, a patch test will be done to ensure it is suitable. Additionally, if your skin type is classed as III+, a topical serum may need to be applied four weeks prior to the treatment to prepare the skin. Safety and suitability for the procedure at Dr Sknn are of the utmost importance and a consultation will be conducted to determine if you are eligible for CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment. After a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can commence. However, if certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may have to be extended up to two weeks. If your skin type is identified as III+, a topical product may have to be used for four weeks before the treatment.
