At Dr Sknn, we make use of the Lynton Lumina, a sophisticated Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is also used by both the NHS and private hospitals in the UK, to treat Angioma with safety and efficacy on skin types I-IV. By emitting light in particular wavelength ranges, at Dr Sknn we can target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Angioma of varying sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the neighbouring skin. Upon treatment, the affected vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little to no trace of the original lesion.

Doctor Led Angioma Crewe - Benefits

At Dr Sknn, IPL is utilised to use light energy, the light is taken up by the Angioma, which then become heated to the point of contraction and/or closure. In the subsequent weeks, the affected vessels will be broken down naturally by the body, leading to a nearly undetectable amount of the initial lesion.

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Angioma

At Dr Sknn, during the appointment a physical examination and photographs will be conducted, with a medical history also taken. This provides the opportunity to discuss any worries, aspirations, results or queries you may have. Prior to the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, all advice afterwards and any risks involved are outlined in depth, with a consent form needing to be signed. A small patch test is also done if it is a new area being treated to make sure it is appropriate.

Are results guaranteed?

No. Results vary between individuals. Your clinician will explain realistic expectations, risks, downtime and maintenance before treatment.
