When you come to Dr Sknn for a consultation regarding Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, you can expect a thorough medical history and physical examination, including photographs, to be taken. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have, as well as receive advice and information about any potential risks associated with the treatment. If you are a new patient or are having a new area treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure the suitability of the treatment. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical application of serum may be needed for 4 weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Sknn, safety and eligibility for treatment are top priorities, so a full consultation and patch test will be performed to determine suitability for the treatment. If you are found to be a suitable candidate and the patch test is successful, the treatment will be delivered after 48 hours. It is important to note that the patch test may be extended to 2 weeks if certain medications are found during your medical history.
