Prior to treatment, we discuss the post-treatment advice and potential risks associated with the treatment to ensure our patients are fully informed and a consent form is signed. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure the treatment is suitable for the patient. Additionally, for patients with a skin type of III or above, a topical application of serum may be necessary four weeks prior to treatment. Following a successful patch test, treatment can begin 48 hours later. However, if certain medications were found during a patient's medical history, the patch testing may be extended up to two weeks.
