This same system is employed by both NHS and private hospitals in the UK and, by producing light at certain wavelength ranges, we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus allowing us to treat lesions of various sizes and depths without causing harm to the surrounding skin. Following the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, through the use of IPL, light energy is used and taken in by the Cherry Angioma causing them to heat up to the point of contracting or winding up. Over the coming weeks, the impaired vessels are naturally broken down by the body, leaving only a small indication of the initial lesion.
