At Dr Sknn we employ the Lynton Lumina, an advanced Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also used by the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK, to address Cherry Spots safely and efficiently for skin types I-IV. By emitting light in distinct wavelength ranges, we are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, permitting us to treat Cherry Spots of different sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Subsequent to treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

By exploiting IPL at Dr Sknn, we take advantage of light energy that is taken in by the Cherry Spots and raises the temperature so much that they contract and/or shut down, sealing them. After the following weeks, the broken vessels are taken in by the body, leaving scarce proof of the original lesion.
