At Dr Sknn we exploit the Lynton Lumina, a sophisticated Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also employed by the NHS and private hospitals over the UK, to treat Cherry Spots effectively and securely on skin types I-IV. By emitting light of certain wavelength ranges at Dr Sknn, we are able to focus on absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, giving us the capability to deal with Cherry Spots of different sizes and depths, with scarcely any damage to the nearby skin. Once the procedure has been finished, the impaired vessels are taken in by the body and little or no sign of the first lesion is visible.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is used to employ light energy, with the light being taken in by the Cherry Spots, heating them to a point of contraction and/or collapse, thereby blocking them. Subsequently, the damaged vessels are naturally taken up by the body over the course of a few weeks, leaving almost no sign of the original lesion.
