At Dr Sknn we utilise the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is also employed by the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK. This system allows us to treat Cherry Spots in a safe and effective way for skin types I-IV. Through beaming light of precise wavelength ranges, we at Dr Sknn target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to treat Cherry Spots of various sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Post-treatment, the damaged vessels are reabsorbed by the body, leaving no trace of the lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is utilised to make use of light energy, with the light being taken in by the Cherry Spots, heating them up until they spasm and/or collapse, thereby sealing them. In the weeks to come, the damaged vessels are taken up by the body naturally, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion.
