At Dr Sknn, we use the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) which is also frequently employed by the NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK to treat Cherry Spots safely and effectively on skin types I-IV. The light emitted in specific wavelength ranges targets absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, meaning we can treat Cherry Spots of varying sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Following the procedure, the damaged vessels will be absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we make use of IPL to exploit light energy, which is absorbed by the Cherry Spots and heated to the point where they spasm and/or collapse, thus sealing off. Over the next few weeks, the damaged vessels are broken down naturally by the body, leaving nothing behind of the initial lesion.
