We use a specific mid-infrared CO2 laser at 10,600 nm to treat a variety of aesthetic concerns, such as fine lines, wrinkles, dyschromia, pigmented lesions, skin surface irregularities, enlarged pores, texture, unwanted scars, sun damage, stretch marks, and loose skin.

At Dr Sknn, a comprehensive consultation will take place before any Fractional CO2 Laser treatment is administered. This will involve a detailed medical history, physical examination and photographic documentation. The consultation provides an opportunity to address any concerns or questions, as well as discuss expected results and post-treatment advice. Risks associated with the treatment will also be explained and a consent form signed before treatment commences. In order to ensure suitability, a small patch test will be carried out for new areas being treated. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical serum may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to treatment. The safety and eligibility of each patient is of the utmost importance, and therefore a patch test will be performed to determine suitability for the treatment. Successful patch testing is required before treatment can proceed, and if necessary, patch testing may be extended up to 2 weeks if certain medications are taken. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical product will be applied for 4 weeks before treatment can be administered.
