At Dr Skn, a thorough consultation is conducted prior to Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, which includes a medical history and physical examination, along with photographs to assess the treatment area. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, and ask any questions you may have. Risks associated with the treatment and post-treatment advice are also explained to ensure that you are fully aware and comfortable with the procedure. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III+, a topical serum or product may be required for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Safety and eligibility are the highest priorities, and therefore, a patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability before treatment is administered. Following a successful patch test, the treatment will be delivered after 48 hours. Please note that patch testing may be extended up to 2 weeks if certain medications are found during the medical history assessment.
