During the consultation, which includes a medical history and physical examination along with photographs, we encourage clients to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions they may have. We also provide information on post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment to ensure that clients have a full understanding before signing a consent form. Additionally, a small patch test is performed prior to treatment in order to ensure suitability, especially if it is a new area being treated. For clients with skin type III+, a topical application of serum or product may be needed for 4 weeks prior to treatment. After a successful patch test, treatment may be delivered after 48 hours. However, in some cases where certain medications are found during the medical history, patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks.
