At Dr Sknn, a comprehensive consultation will take place, which includes a medical history review, physical examination and photography, prior to the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. During the consultation, patients will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, questions, and expectations they may have, as well as the potential risks and post-treatment advice. If it is the patient's first time receiving treatment on a particular area, a small patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability. If the patient's skin type is determined to be III+, a serum or product may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Patient safety and eligibility for treatment are top priorities at Dr Sknn, as a one-size-fits-all approach is not applicable. Therefore, after a full consultation, a patch test will be performed to determine suitability for treatment. Following a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment may commence. However, if certain medications are identified during the medical history review, the patch testing period may be extended to 2 weeks.
