When you come for a consultation at Dr Sknn, we will start by taking your medical history, performing a physical examination and taking photographs. We will discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you have, and we'll also talk through the post-treatment advice and any risks associated with the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, making sure you fully understand them before signing a consent form. If it's a new area being treated, we'll perform a small patch test to ensure the treatment is suitable for you. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical serum or product may be needed for 4 weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Sknn, we place the highest priority on safety and eligibility for treatment, so we will always carry out a full consultation and patch test to ensure the treatment is suitable for you. Following a successful patch test, we will be able to deliver the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment 48 hours later. Please note that if certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks.
