When you visit Dr Skn, a consultation will be carried out, which includes taking your medical history and conducting a physical examination. Photographs may also be taken to help with the assessment. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns or expectations you have about the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, as well as ask any questions you may have. The risks associated with the treatment will be explained, and you will be given post-treatment advice. If you are having treatment in a new area, a patch test will be carried out to ensure suitability. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical serum may be required for four weeks prior to treatment. Safety and suitability for treatment are a top priority at Dr Skn, so a patch test will be performed before any treatment is carried out. If you are deemed suitable for treatment, it will be delivered after 48 hours following a successful patch test. However, if certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended to two weeks.
