At Dr Skn, we conduct consultations prior to any Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, where we perform a medical history check including a physical examination and take photographs. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have. We also discuss any post-treatment advice and the risks associated with the treatment to ensure that you fully understand them before you sign a consent form. In case of treating a new area, we perform a small patch test to ensure its suitability. For skin types III and above, a topical serum may be needed four weeks prior to the treatment. Safety and eligibility are our highest priorities, and therefore, we perform a full consultation and patch test to ensure your suitability for the treatment. Following the successful patch test after 48 hours, we can proceed with the treatment. Please note that patch testing may be extended to two weeks if you have taken certain medications, and a topical product may be needed for four weeks prior to treatment for skin types III and above.
