At Dr Skn, the consultation process for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment involves a thorough medical history and physical examination, including photographs. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or queries you may have, and any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the procedure will be fully explained to ensure you fully understand them. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability, and if your skin type is III+, a topical product may be required four weeks prior to treatment. Safety and eligibility are of utmost importance, and as such, a full consultation and patch test will be carried out to determine suitability for the treatment, as every patient is unique. After 48 hours of successful patch testing, treatment can commence, but please note that patch testing may be extended to two weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history.
