That's why we begin with a comprehensive consultation, where we will conduct a thorough medical history and physical examination, including photographs, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions or express any concerns you may have. We will also discuss post-treatment advice and any associated risks to ensure that you have a full understanding of the process, and obtain your consent prior to proceeding. If you are a new patient and it is the first time treating a particular area, we will perform a small patch test to ensure suitability. In some cases, if your skin type is III or above, we may require you to apply a topical serum or product for four weeks prior to treatment. Once we have determined that you are suitable for the treatment, we will perform a patch test, and if successful, you can receive the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment 48 hours later. However, please note that patch testing may be extended up to two weeks if certain medications were found in your medical history.
