At Dr Sknn, before undergoing Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, you will have a thorough consultation which includes a medical history and physical examination, along with photographs. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have. The risks associated with the treatment and any post-treatment advice will also be discussed, and you will be asked to sign a consent form to ensure you fully understand everything. In addition, if it is your first time having treatment in a particular area, a small patch test will be performed to make sure it is suitable for you. For those with skin types III and above, a topical application of serum may be required for four weeks prior to treatment. Safety and suitability are our top priorities, which is why we perform a full consultation and patch test before treatment. After 48 hours post patch testing, if successful, we can proceed with the treatment. However, if you have taken certain medications in the past, the patch testing period may be extended to two weeks.
