When you visit Dr Skn for a consultation regarding Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, the medical team will begin by taking your medical history and performing a physical examination, which may include photographs. This is your opportunity to discuss any concerns or expectations you may have, as well as ask any questions about the treatment process or expected results. The team will also provide you with advice on post-treatment care and discuss any risks associated with the procedure, ensuring that you fully understand them before signing a consent form. In some cases, a small patch test may be necessary to ensure the treatment is suitable for you, particularly if it's a new area being treated. If your skin type is III or higher, a serum or product may be needed in the weeks leading up to treatment. If the patch test is successful, the treatment can be carried out 48 hours later.
