At Dr Sknn, a consultation will be held before undergoing Fractional CO2 Laser treatment which will include a medical history and physical examination with photos. This provides an opportunity to ask any questions, express your expectations, results or worries. Prior to the treatment, the risks involved and post-treatment advice associated with the Fractional CO2 Laser will be discussed and an informed consent is necessary. For the first time treatment, a small patch test will be conducted to assess suitability. If your skin type is identified as III+, then a topical serum might need to be applied for four weeks prior to the treatment. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability are paramount and a consultation will be conducted to determine eligibility. Following a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can be administered. However, if certain medications are present in your medical record, the patch testing period might be extended up to two weeks. If your skin type is III+, a topical product may need to be used for four weeks before the procedure.
