Improvement in Fine and Deep Lines and Wrinkles

As we start to age our facial morphology and proportions start to change. Fine lines start to appear at around the age of 25 and over time wrinkles and volume loss become more noticeable. This results in signs of ageing and an imbalance in facial proportions. Further changes occur as we age the dermis (one of the skin layers) starts to thin, bony landmarks start to become prominent, the cheeks start to hollow, facial fat pads start to descent, the lips become thinner, the nasal tip and corners of the mouth start to droop additionally the supporting structures in the lower third of the face start to decrease. These facial changes result in the ageing signs in addition to the loss of the ideal v-shaped youthful appearance to more of a squarer appearance. Ageing also results in our skin losing hydration, a reduction in the natural elasticity of the skin occurs due to the degradation of collagen. The skin begins to show signs of wrinkles, both expressive and static and starts to sag.

Dermal Fillers, when used correctly, can be used to correct volume loss, shape facial areas and contour the face to provide a more youthful appearance in addition to help smooth out problematic areas including deep wrinkles and boosting skin hydration and resilience by increasing collagen production.
