At Dr Sknn, prior to CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment, a comprehensive consultation will be held, including your medical history, physical examination and photographs, to ensure you have the opportunity to ask any questions, express your expectations, outcomes or concerns. Ahead of the treatment, any potential risks or post-treatment advice regarding CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment will be discussed comprehensively and a consent form will be signed. For the first time, a small patch test will be done to assess its suitability. With skin type III+, a topical serum may have to be applied for four weeks prior to the procedure to prepare the skin. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for the treatment are of utmost importance and a full consultation will be conducted to determine eligibility. After the 48-hour patch test is successful, the procedure can be carried out. Nonetheless, if certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may expand up to two weeks. In the event of skin type III+, a topical product may need to be applied for four weeks before the treatment.
