Utilising the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Facial Rosacea System (IPL) at Dr Sknn, we are able to treat Facial Rosacea safely and effectively on skin types I-IV. The Lynton Lumina is also used by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK. This system emits light in a particular wavelength range, targeting absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Facial Rosacea of varying sizes and depths while also causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. After the treatment, the compromised vessels are reabsorbed by the body, leaving behind no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we utilise light energy through IPL which is absorbed by the blood vessels, causing them to heat up to a point where they contract or collapse, thus sealing them. Subsequently, in the subsequent weeks, the impaired vessels are naturally absorbed by the body, leaving no trace of the original lesion.
