At Dr Sknn, we offer a modern Fractional CO2 Laser treatment that can drastically improve the appearance of scars caused by different factors. Through ablation and thermal effect, this procedure stimulates the generation of new skin within the dermis and epidermis. Our mid-infrared CO2 laser at 10,600 nm is highly successful in treating a range of aesthetic concerns such as unwanted scars, wrinkles, dyschromia, pigmented lesions, enlarged pores, texture, sun damage, stretch marks, and sagging skin. Through this treatment, skin complexion, thickness, and hydration can be improved, resulting in a healthier and younger-looking appearance. At Dr Sknn, we are devoted to helping you achieve smoother, more even-toned skin, and improving your self-confidence.

Doctor Led Facial Scar Treatment Tabley - Benefits

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Facial Scar Treatment

At Dr Sknn, prior to CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment, a comprehensive discussion will take place discussing your medical background and physical examination including photographs. This will give you the opportunity to ask any queries, expectations, results or anxieties that you may have. Before the procedure, any risk and post-treatment advice on Fractional CO2 Laser will be talked through and a consent form will need to be signed to ensure that you understand the process in full. When the area is being treated for the first time, a small patch test will be done to establish its suitability. Also, if your skin type is classified as III+, a topical serum might have to be applied for four weeks leading up to the treatment to prepare the skin. At Dr Sknn, safety and appropriateness for the treatment are of the utmost importance and a full consultation will be performed to work out if you are eligible for CO2 Ablative Fractional Laser Treatment. After a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can take place. However, if certain medications are included in your medical background, the patch testing time may be increased up to two weeks. If your skin type is III+, a topical product might be necessary for four weeks before the procedure.

Common questions

What is doctor-led planning?

It is a consultation-led approach where your goals, medical history, suitability, treatment options, recovery and aftercare are reviewed before a plan is confirmed.

How much is a consultation?

Doctor consultations are free. A £50 reservation fee secures a doctor consultation. Nurse and practitioner consultations are currently free. The booking journey shows whether payment or card protection is required, with the applicable cancellation and rescheduling terms, before you confirm.

Can I book without knowing which treatment I need?

Yes. You can start with a consultation and the team will guide you through suitable options for your skin, face, body or hair goals.

Are results guaranteed?

No. Results vary between individuals. Your clinician will explain realistic expectations, risks, downtime and maintenance before treatment.
